BSN RN-REGISTER NURSE, CDE-CERTIFIED DIABETES EDUCATOR AND TRIGGER POINT TRAINER
“Everything is a BIG deal when you live as if tomorrow is not promised.”
TWO WORDS THAT DESCRIBE FRAN: APPRECIATIVE AND LOYAL
I found the importance of recovery 4 years ago when I started doing yoga and took one of Kolleen’s Trigger point classes. Over 5 years I was over working my body, creating stiffness and inflammation of many joints and seeing no results but increasing injuries. My gait was actually shortening because of extreme hip/calf tightness and my flexibility and balance was off and getting worse. After giving up one day a week of cardio to do recovery I found, over a 6 months period, my body was actually “recovering” from years of overdoing it to the point of joint inflammation and constant injury. By the one-year mark I found I had less injuries, more flexibility, less joint pain and my gait had a normal stride. I began to study recovery and continued to apply it to my weekly workouts. I took it one step further in 2018 by acquiring my certification in Trigger Point. I have developed this passionate understanding in the value of recovery and incorporate it in my life and encourage others to do the same. I am married with 3 kids (Cole, Luke and Ava) and 1 adorable black Scottish Terrier named Murphy.
