All we can say about Donna is WOW! Donna attended her first workout at an outside promotional class. She was nervous meeting us and was discouraged by her performance. But it didn’t stop her from coming to the gym the next day. Or the next, or the next. Each day Donna became stronger. Her first full month she attended more classes than any other member. She has quickly become part of the Core family. We are all so proud of you Donna!
Tell Us A Bit About Yourself I am 53 years old and have been happily married to the love of my life, Ted, for 24 years. Our son, Drew (22), is a senior at Kennesaw State and will graduate next year with a double major – a B.S. in Computer Game Design & Development and a B.S. in Computer Science. Our daughter, Taylor (19), is a sophomore at Reinhardt University and plans to major in Criminal Justice. I am self employed as a graphic designer and specialize in logo creation, marketing materials, website design and more! I have been coming to Core for just over 3 months and absolutely LOVE it!! I started coming to CorePhysique after meeting Kolleen – her spirit, enthusiasm and excitement were so contagious that I decided to jump in and she and all of the wonderfully supportive Core staff keep me motivated and coming back! I strive to workout at least five times a week.
What Did You Do Exercise-Wise Before CP? Does parking further away than necessary at the grocery store count as exercise??
What Is Your FAVORITE Exercise/Body Part to Work On? I really like the TRX, Trigger Point and other recovery classes but really enjoy all of the classes!
What Is Your HATED Exercise/Body Part to Work On? I don’t have very good knees so squats and lunges tend to hurt them so I would say they are my least favorite!
What Type of Music Gets Your Heart Rate Up? I like different kinds of music from country to current pop but classic rock usually has a good workout beat for me.
Do You Exercise On Your Non-CorePhysique Days? Not usually, unless there is a challenge to be done – then I’m in it to win it! The holiday challenge has had me working on non-CorePhysique days a lot!! (GO WORKOUT WARRIORS!!)
What Is Your Favorite Cheat Food(s)? There are sooooooo many!! Probably savory, cheesy, saucy foods or empty carbs – I like sweets but can do without them!
If You Had A “Me” Day (exercise not necessary), What Would It Look Like? A perfect “Me” day would be spending time with my husband, kiddos & friends – whether playing board games, watching Packer football, being outdoors or just enjoying time together!
Who Is Your Biggest Supporter? My husband, Ted is definitely my biggest supporter in all that I do and the Core instructors are super supporting, as well!!
What Keeps You Coming Back To CorePhysique? The people!! The instructors are beyond awesome and the other members are terrific! It’s like having another family!
What Is The Best Thing That Has Changed About Your Life Since Committing To A Healthy Lifestyle? Since beginning at Core, I have continued my weight loss (I’m now down 35 pounds since March) and have begun to also lose inches and overall, just feel better! I look forward to losing more weight and inches!!
